EVERSMART OPTIONS & KEY SPARE PARTS

For the EverSmart range of scanners there are a number hardware and software options available to help improve workflow and
productivity. All model variants can utilise the offline Oil Mounting Station whereas certain software options and upgrades might only
be applicable to individual scanner models as specified below.

OXYGEN SCAN UPGRADES FOR MACINTOSH
- Suitable for all EverSmart Supreme and EverSmart Select scanners only
Over a period of time oXYgen Scan software has been upgraded and enhanced. Many
new features have been added as well as upgraded compatibility with newer Mac OSX
operating system software. CPS has a range of versions in stock:

OIL MOUNTING STATION - Suitable for all EverSmart scanners
Special offline oil mounting system for improving image quality when making bigger
enlargements and reduced retouching time as oil immersion hides many imperfections
on film originals. For more information see Oil Mounting Station.

oXYgen DOT software is an advanced scanning application that digitises screened
film CMYK separations to re-assemble an original image. This highly advanced software
tool can also be used for digital descreening, and digital descreening of printed material.

EVERSMART JAZZ FIREWIRE UPGRADE KIT

This upgrade package contains a SCSI to FireWire Adaptor, FireWire connection
cable and the latest oXYgen Scan software for Jazz scanners (version 3.5.0.1). This
upgrade will support OSX 10.3.x and 10.4.x running on a G4 or G5 Mac (not Intel).

URGENT DELIVERY IS REQUIRED. IS YOUR SYSTEM COMPATIBLE? It is always advisable to ensure that you are using
the correct level of oXYgen software when you
upgrade the operating software on your Mac. Your
older oXYgen version might appear to work ok, but
over time you will experience crashes, intermittent
faults, damaged scans and other problems. You
will also find that you are unable to re-calibrate or
run diagnostic software, this can cause damage to
internal components and could end up being costly.
Later versions of oXYgen also contain many new
features to help you improve your scanning results. OMS GLASS & BASE GLASS The glass used in an Oil Mounting Station is
different to the standard base glass provided with
iQsmart and EverSmart scanners.
The standard base glass contains a special
anti-Newton ring coating to overcome newton ring
blooms that can appear when film and halftone
film are placed on glass. Never apply scanning oil or montage gel directly
onto standard base glass as this will erode the
anti-Newton ring coating. A spare standard base glass is included with each
Oil Mounting Station package that is uncoated. ADVANCED COPYDOT Copydot scanning is a highly skilled process to get
absolutely right, but with oXYgen Dot and oXYgen
Dot Toolkit it is simple and straight forward.
Developed by Creo, the oXYgen Dot and oXYgen
Dot Toolkit software utilise advanced algorithms
from the premium Creo Renaissance scanning
system to achieve crisp, perfect, high quality
results.
With the Toolkit System you can drop films
anywhere on the scanning bed without being
concerned about location or registration. Films are
then scanned using oXYgen Dot before being sent
to Toolkit. Toolkit then automatically matches the
separations perfectly without operator intervention.
Full digital descreening technology provides the
ability to descreen halftones and to repurpose
copydot contone files for proofing and other
applications without rescanning.
